the earth
large as it is
is but a small speck
in the milky way
which in its vast expanse
is but a unrecognised region in the universe

in this exist large forbidden worlds
undiscovered unfriendly uninhabited
with dark secrets of their own
which they jealously guard
and many untold unseen realities
cold cruel and daunting in its appearance

also are suns
exploding with pride
bursting with uncontained energy
burning and exploding
lest it lose it's name

are the moons
even in all their glory
are but a reflection
a mirror that adorns the beauty
of the provider
